The official Twitter account for Studio Trigger's SSSS.GRIDMAN anime revealed on Sunday that the anime is inspiring a stage play adaptation, a manga adaptation, multiple new manga spinoffs, and a novel spinoff. The stage play is slated to debut in spring 2020.
Yumi Mizusawa is penning the novel spinoff tentatively-titled SSSS.GRIDMAN ~Mō Hitori no Kami-sama (Another God), with illustrations by bun150. The novel will center on Tsutsujidai in chaos brought about by attacking kaiju, and will focus on "another god, and another battle." Shogakukan will begin publishing the novel in August under its Gagaga Bunko label.
Yūki Konno is penning the manga adaptation of the anime, tentatively titled Comicalize SSSS.GRIDMAN. The manga will debut in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app.
Ariko (Hina Logic - from Luck & Logic original character designer) is drawing the comedy manga spinoff Shinseiki Chūgakusei Nikki (Neon Genesis Junior High Students Diary, seen below). The manga will focus on the four Neon Genesis Junior High Students and their everyday lives as they chase after cats, buy groceries, and eat nabe together. The manga will serialize in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine.
Kei Toru (Akame ga KILL! ZERO) is drawing the manga Hime to Samurai (The Princess and the Samurai, seen below). The manga will center on Samurai Caliber, and a girl named Hime Kuzuki, who has been entrusted with Caliber's fifth sword. The manga will also serialize in Monthly Comic Alive.

Yūki Tamura is drawing the tentatively-titled Sengoku Gridman manga. The manga will center on a small land that possesses strange mechanical puppet technology, and uses it to construct puppet soldiers that patrol the perimeter of the castle. When the soldiers begin attacking people, a mysterious armored warrior appears. Akita Shoten will serialize the manga in its Monthly Shōnen Champion magazine.
The 12-episode SSSS.Gridman anime premiered last October. Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the anime as it aired, and Funimation is also streaming an English dub for the anime.
Akira Amemiya (Inferno Cop, Ninja Slayer, earlier 2015 "Denkō Chōjin Gridman boy invent great hero" short) directed the collaboration between the anime Studio Trigger and Tsuburaya Productions — the creator of the Ultraman franchise and the original 1993-1994 live-action tokusatsu (special-effects) series Denkō Chōjin Gridman. Keiichi Hasegawa (Rage of Bahamut Genesis, 009-1: The End of the Beginning, Zoids) wrote the scripts.
